‘Tis the holiday season, and you know what that means. It’s time to be merry, spend time with good company…and do lots of shopping. Lots and lots of shopping. But before you can check your list twice and stress out looking for unique gifts, don’t fret! Seaside Art Gallery has plenty of treasures ideal for holiday gift giving. Here’s a sampling of our favorites:
1. Dancing on Air – Blue Herons by Beverly Abbott
This new miniature painting by Beverly Abbott features a stunning orange color that is not usually seen in her pieces. The gorgeous blue herons – a rare species to see in the wild – add further beauty to the piece. Its small size is a great present under the tree, too!
2. Mickey’s 60th Birthday – Donald Duck by Walt Disney Studios
Who doesn’t know someone in their life who is a Disney fan these days? Whether they enjoy Donald Duck, Disney cartoons, animation in general, or all of the above, this animation cel from Walt Disney Studios is sure to delight loved ones of all ages on Christmas morning.
3. Over a Barrel by Lee Mims
It’s hard to say whether the fun loving pelican or the nautical frame is the best part of this painting by Lee Mims. Its attractive contemporary feel is a nice option for many types of rooms and enables the piece to become the gift that keeps on giving well after the holiday season.
4. Large Crab Vase #2 by Diane Lee
Local Eastern North Carolina pottery has a unique rustic style that is consistent in popularity, and it’s certainly evident in Diane Lee’s handcrafted crab vases like this one. The high quality detail and Carolina blue glaze makes it an excellent statement piece for the home or office, and a tasteful choice for the gifter and the recipient alike
5. Carolina Wren #5 by Karen Chamblin
Isn’t this Carolina Wren absolutely adorable? An original miniature oil painting by Karen Chamblin, this pocket-size artwork is the perfect stocking stuffer that can fit under the tree with more room to spare. You’ll want to act fast on this popular cutie pie – only three out of five of them are left!
